EstateCheck is a portfolio case study project. This page describes how the demo application handles data.
What this site is
EstateCheck is a demo property inspection application built as a portfolio case study. It is not a commercial service, and it is not operated by a registered company.
Information we collect
When you create an account, the app stores your email address and your name. When you use the app, it stores the property and inspection data you enter - property addresses, room conditions, flags and notes - and the photos you upload during an inspection.
How it is used
This information is used only to run the demo: signing you in, saving your inspections and generating reports and comparisons. Your data is not sold, not shared with third parties and not used for advertising.
Where it is stored
All data is stored in Supabase, a hosted database and file storage service. Photos you upload are kept in Supabase storage, attached to the inspection they belong to.
Data retention and deletion
Demo data is kept for as long as the project is online. You can delete your own properties and inspections inside the app at any time. To have your account and remaining data removed, use the contact route described below.
Cookies and local storage
The app uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. It does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data inside the app. You may also request a copy of your data, or ask for it to be deleted, through the contact details on the author's portfolio.
